Importing or bulk candidates upload

Vitay allows you to upload or import bulk candidates with a limit of 50 entries at the same time provided your entries follows the CSV template.

Note: It is advisable to bulk upload candidates per question sets.

  1. Download the CSV template to fill in the candidate's data for uploading your data.

This can be done by drag and drop or clicking browse files to select the file you would like to upload

Log in > Click on candidates > click on the upload icon , a pop-up would appear

  1. The template will look like this:

Type in the details for each candidate as shown in the example below:

The only required fields for uploading candidates are first name, last name, and either email or phone number. All other fields are optional.

  1. Download the updated CSV file with the candidates information and upload it.
    1. To automatically assign a candidate to a recruiter, you need to provide the recruiter's email that they have for their Vitay account.
    2. To set a candidate's reference request to be "managers only", you can type "yes", "y", "t", or "true" in the Managers only column for that candidate. Any other input (including blank) will be considered false.
  2. If you have subaccounts for your Vitay setup, you can import candidates to a certain subaccount by inputting its ID in the Branch ID column. The Branch ID can be found as a root user in the Configuration panel > Accounts and viewing the ID column on the Accounts table:

  3. A popup will appear informing you of the # of candidates uploaded. Then, you select the question set you want to go out to these candidates (If you leave the question set dropdown blank, it will still create the candidate, but won't initiate the reference request).

  1. Click submit and both candidates would be added automatically to your account with you the uploader as the assigned recruiter for those candidates which can be changed after the upload. Please review this article
